  • This is a legitimate criticism, and it would have been helpful if I had provided the context for this particular session. This was the first of a series of six talks given by Suzuki Elders at Capilano University in March/April, 2012. This first presentation was meant to awaken the audience to the limits of the natural world that we are rapidly approaching. Yes, it was meant to invoke concern if not fear in order to stimulate discussion during the subsequent topics which included, “The Technology Shift,” “Rethinking our Relationship with Earth”, “Telling a Better Story” (of what it means to be human in a century of transition), and “How will we get there from here?”

  • Greetings: This is simply depressing. We need viable options not more numbing fear mongering.
